Radon is a naturally occurring radioactive gas found in soils, rock, and water throughout the U.S. Radon causes lung cancer, and is a threat to health because it tends to collect in and under homes, sometimes to very high concentrations.
Radon can be found in the indoor air you breathe and in the water you drink, cook and bathe in.
Radon testing is inexpensive and easy—and at Solvit we can schedule that for you. If the presence of radon is found, we can also help you “mitigate” it. That means we can install a system that removes radon from the crawl space or from beneath the concrete floor, basement slab of your house and or water you drink. This system is effective a keeping Radon from entering your home or drinking water.
