PLAINVILLE – Eighteen contractors from across the state were recognized by the Connecticut Green Bank for their contributions to creating energy efficient homes for over 300 families.
SolvIt Home Services, a town business, was among the honorees.
According to a press release, the energy efficiency projects utilized $4.1 million in low-interest, no money down, loans offered to homeowners by Green Bank.
Green Bank’s website says homeowners can use the loans on more than 40 home energy improvements, including insulation, windows, solar and electric vehicle charging stations.
Amber Schilberg, a Green Bank public relations representative, said the goal is “saving these families mon ey, reducing their carbon footprint, and helping them live more comfortably in their homes.”
SolvIt Home Services is located at 65 Farmington Valley Drive. As stated on the company website, SolvIt Home Services offers “services for your entire home including plumbing, electrical repairs, air duct cleaning, home energy audits and more:’
